The Spruce Pets and Positive Reinforcement Training

Through  interviews with certified dog trainers and veterinary experts, I was able to update The Spruce Pets' editorial positioning on training collars for dogs with the complete removal of shock stimulating collars.

Throughout my tenure as the lead commerce editor for The Spruce Pets, I continuously revised the site's product recommendations for pet parents of dogs and cats to replace punishment-focused training products (e.g. scat mats and shock collars) with positive reinforcement tools and expert-informed instructions.
